The light weight construction does not compromise the durability. It is abrasion resistant, thanks to 600 denier polyester fabric (PES) on the bottom, which protects from rough ground, gravel and camp debris. Denier is yarn weight per 9 metres; it’s strong enough for use outdoors and in the mountains.

A major drawback to coolers is what to do with them after the tour. Hard coolers take up garage space. Bulky soft coolers will not compress. The ingenious deflatable folding design of the Fresh Cooler Box 500 is the answer to this.
Folding (step by step):
- When using, open the air valve; deflate after use.
- Close main zipper.
- Set cooler so the valve is up and the cooler is lying on its side.
- Understand both sides and press down to expel air.
- Hold sides down and stand it up without letting go of the sides, then squeeze the top down to compress.
- Tighten the valve to keep the compressed shape.
- Fold a loop of the carrier strap over the cooler to keep it folded.
- Folded, the cooler is 21cm high x 30cm deep x 40cm wide, perfect for fitting behind a car seat, under a bed or in a suitcase. It is 40 cm x 30 cm x 40 cm (unfolded and in use).

What about Moisture and Waterproofing?
Honest description: This cooler is not waterproof. The design will allow the condensation to drip through the joints and some internal moisture. Why? Because the moisture that is trapped leads to mold, mildew and foul odor. A water-resistant seam design allows water to pass through.

Coolers get dirty. Accidents will occur, like spilled drinks, melted ice and food crumbs. The Fresh Cooler Box 500 has a detachable bottom (just pull the small tab), to enable the interior to be cleaned thoroughly. Hand wash with warm water (maximum 40°C) using a mild detergent. Do not machine wash, dry clean, iron, tumble or bleach the machine.

- Cleaning: Hand wash at a temperature of 40°C (max). Never machine wash, dry clean, iron, tumble dry or bleach. Take the bottom panel off to deep-clean.
- Drying: Be sure to dry thoroughly before folding and storing.
- Storage: Select clean and dry location. Fold before storing to conserve space.
- REMOVE AIR: Open valve after use to release air before folding, otherwise known as deflation.
